We’re a couple of Cardigan Welsh Corgi’s, brother and sister, living in Adelaide, South Australia. We’re named after Fos Williams and Russell Ebert, a couple of Port Adelaide Football Club legends whose families also went on to contribute valuably to the club’s success. We’re honoured to be named after them. Corgi’s originate from the UK and are traditionally used to herd cattle; so we’re bred to be a working dog but we also make great pets. We herd differently to other working dogs, we nip at the heels of cattle to move them along and, when the cattle try to kick us, we’re short enough that we can duck and dodge their kicks. That makes us pretty brave. We’re a very healthy species with very few medical problems. We’re also one of the most intelligent breeds of dog, easy to train and very obedient. Our behaviour and temperament are also pleasant so, all-in-all, we are a very good pet or working dog to have. Did you know there are two types of Corgi’s? Cardigan Welsh Corgi’s (aka Cardi’s) are the older of the two breeds. We have a tail and come in a range of coat colours and patterns (our coats are brindle and white). Pembroke Welsh Corgi’s, on the other hand, don’t usually have tales and usually have red and white coats.
